Dr. Calton is part of a new Annapolis tradition of dental comfort & care. She is a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry & has dedicated her professional career to providing you with the best that dentistry has to offer. She is always educating herself & her staff on the newest techniques & advances to offer you state-of-the-art, personalized & comfortable dental care.

Dr. Calton has since taken many continuing education courses, which include but are not limited to aesthetic dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, neuromuscular dentistry & infection control. She is a member of such institutions as the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, and the Anne Arundel County Dental Society. For four years in a row, Dr. Calton has been voted “Top General/Cosmetic Dentist” by What's Up? Annapolis Magazine & she was voted among “America’s Top Dentists” by Consumers’ Research Council of America” in 2010.

Dr. Katherine Holtzapple strives to make dental visits at About Smiles Dentistry enjoyable as she loves talking to and meeting new people. Becoming a dentist was a childhood dream and delivering high-quality dental care is her top priority.

Dr. Holtzapple, a Pennsylvania native, attended Spring Grove High School. She continued her education at Towson University receiving a BS in Biology while playing Division 1 soccer. Prior to dental school, she was able to go on a dental mission trip to Haiti, helping those in need. Dr. Holtzapple received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University, earning a Team Leader Recognition Award.

Dr. Hotzapple enjoys cheering on the Mountaineers at WVU sporting events. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing at the beach, drinking wine, and mastering the art of charcuterie boards. Most importantly, she enjoys spending time with family, friends and her fiance Logan while spoiling her nieces and nephew.
